Guth Connection Family Page

Here is my first blog on the Guth Connection Family Page. I am looking for those who are researching their ancestors with the Guth surname. My Guths came to America around 1850 and landed in NYC. They lived on Willett St. (off Rivington) and attended a church called 'The First German Presbyterian Church of Rivington Street'. J. Georg Gut, as his name was listed when he first came to America, had a brother who also came to America and lived in NYC. Georg Gut was married to Katherina Gitz, and they both came from what is known today as Alsace-Lorraine, which was owned by the Germans and French, on and off. They had three children to my knowledge, Amelie, Maria Louise, and George William (my great grandfather). How I wish I could have talked to them and asked them questions about their ancestors! If you have Guth ancestors, and would like to put out a post on them, feel free to post here and see if we can connect the Guths the came to America, and even around the world!
